A vocal-led band that fuses contemporary jazz with gospel-tinged soul. Their inspiration comes from artists like Dianne Reeves, Van Morrison, Kurt Elling, Miles Davis and Mahalia Jackson.

The debut album, Spring is Such a Beautiful Thing, which is released on the 11th of April 2009, combines the spirit of soul with the freedom of jazz improvisation. The album's melodic compositions have a timeless quality: familiar elements of modern jazz, blues and r&b come together to create a distinctive, contemporary sound.

Acclaimed singer Alison Bentley has a richly soulful voice and the band's musicianship is of the highest order: lyrical sax and trumpet meld with bluesy organ and guitar over grooving percussion and double bass. The result is vibrant, jazz-inspired music from the heart.

Members of the band have worked with leading UK musicians, such as Jonathan Gee, Jamie Cullum, and Jim Mullen as well as international artists such as Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Dionne Warwick, Maddy Prior and Burt Bacharach. They have performed at music venues and festivals around the world
